Two cities, two nights under the stars. With Erste Bank as a proud sponsor, Silent Cinema transformed Vienna’s Strandbad Herrmann at the Donaukanal and Graz’s Schlossbergbühne Kasematten into open-air living rooms, where hundreds of people came together to share a film in silence — headphones on, city noise off.

Our focus was on the small details that brought it all to life — wide smiles, quiet concentration, and the sense of connection that formed in the dark. Silent Cinema reminded us once again that storytelling isn’t always loud. Sometimes, the strongest connections happen in the quiet.
We were there to capture the atmosphere in both cities: guests arriving, grabbing snacks, settling in, and enjoying films in two of Austria’s most unique settings. In Vienna, Erste Bank’s mascot Sparefroh joined the crowd, creating playful moments and adding to the sense of community, while in Graz the dramatic mountain stage gave the evening a more cinematic backdrop.
